This first course in the IKS series, conducted in January–April 2016, laid down the foundations by offering a panorama of India’s intellectual, scientific and artistic knowledge traditions, with special emphasis on philosophical systems, Ayurveda, Vastusastra, polity and governance, systems of ethics, classical science and Sanskrit, agriculture and IKS, and performing arts.
