LIVING TRADITIONS OF SANSKRIT

Sanskrit, India’s most ancient literary language, is often said to be “dead”. This 7th edition of IIT Gandhinagar’s IKS course will bring in scholars, cultural exponents and practitioners, who will illustrate how Sanskrit survives in the cultural and social life of today’s India, through a number of knowledge systems and traditions, for instance performing arts, architecture, classical or regional literatures, Ayurveda, yoga, religious and intellectual traditions, etc.
